About our Old St. Barths Map. When Columbus discovered this island on his second voyage, he named it after his younger brother Bartholomew - St. Barthelemeo. Because of the lack of fresh water on the island, he moved on. The Knights of Malta held the island for a short time but were run off by Carib Indians. So this island became a pirate headquarters for a substantial amount of time and treasure is still rumored to be buried there to this day! The St. Barths Antique Map measures 18" x 19 1/4" and is an excellent way to complete the wall dTcor in any room of the home or office.

This map is but one map from a collection of over forty different maps taken from original watercolor paintings. They are meticulously printed on quality parchment paper.
