She was spotted aground under full sail on Diamond Shoals in 1921. When boarded, she was abandoned except for a grey cat. No trace of her captain or crew was ever found - a famous ghost ship. Also includes the locations of 24 Life-Saving Stations which were built to aid the survivors of the many shipwrecks which were occurring at the time.
