Baby Bugatti

Baby Bugatti - Bugatti made both race cars and limousines for the rich and famous back in the twenties and thirties They were sold to future kings and scions of industrial and banking fortunes. Some of them now fetch millions. The Bugatti factory, just for fun, made a few electric children's cars for selected clients back in the 1920's. They were called Baby Bugattis. Bugatti reputedly made only 499 of the Baby Bugatti, Type 52, between 1927 and 1930. These were the Gatsby years. Luxury was OK, and the Great depression of the 30s was beyond the horizon. The Baby's speed was about 17km/h (10mph), contrasting with the 210km/h for some of his full-size bolides. Like the originals, Baby Bugattis are not really meant to race around the backyard. They're simply too costly. Our reproduction of this unique item is based on an original Baby Bugatti purchased at a London auction. Handmade aluminum coachwork and frame, cast aluminum wheels, leather seat and bonnet straps, chrome-finished bronze radiator, and more. Best if savored in person, simply to appreciate this Baby in its full and spectacular splendor. Measures 77.25" x 27.75" x 21.75".
