T37A Tweetie Bird Model Plane

T37A Tweetie Bird Model Plane - One of the most prominent of the trainer-attack type aircraft is the Cessna T-37/A-37, known in various forms as the Tweety Bird, Tweet, Dragonfly, or Super Tweet. The first T-37A was completed in September 1955, executing its maiden flight that year, and was delivered to the Air Force in June 1956. The USAF began cadet training in the T-37A during 1957. This small, dual-engine aircraft flew for decades as a primary trainer for the United States Air Force, and served with distinction in an attack role during the Vietnam War.

Totally handcrafted display aviation models. These beautiful handmade authentic replicas are made from the very finest grade of select kiln-dried Philippine mahogany wood. The replicas are made entirely by hand, from the hand carving of the fuselage, wings and tail section - to the sanding of the aircraft's contours. Every part is assembled precisely into place using the highest quality adhesive available. After shaping and sanding, the model passes through several stages of priming and sanding before it is hand painted to duplicate the actual colors of of a selected historical aircraft. Artisans detail from researched reference materials, including all the insignias, squadron badges, nose art, emblems and serial numbers to replicate the original aircraft to scale. Wingspan 8.5 in. and Length 7.5in.
