Order By PhoneLawn ornaments have been around for a long time, with statues of Jesus and Mary, a fat woman bending over, garden gnomes and windmills. In 1946 Union Products made "Plastics for the Lawn" which included 2 dimensional animals including the flamingo. In the 1950's, Don Featherstone, a young designer and sculptor, redesigned the plastic pink flamingo all from National Geographic's photos. They have become a lawn greeting, as people in the dark of the night have placed them on their neighbor's lawn. Our flamingo is more high end and stands proudly at 7 x 22 inches and is made of metal. Great for a splash of tropical fun.
